Statistics
« on: October 16, 2002, 09:55:45 pm »

This was discussed a while back, but I don't remember what came of it.

In MJ7, I really liked the way statistics worked.  One thing I used all the time was sorting the statistics by genre.  The only way I see to do that now (MJ8) is to set up a rule for a genre, write down the number of songs and/or total time, change the rule, etc, etc.  Painful.

It's on the "to do" list for version 9.

Maybe start a thread in the version 9 forum about what you'd like to see.

Thanks.

I think version 9 comments belong in this forum.  People have too many forums to keep track of the way it is.  I've never even looked at the version 9 forum.

This Forum Should Be Called Media Jukbox 8 Forum since that is the oldest suported program.

MJ 9 coments need to go to Media Jukebox 9 forum Hence the Name "media Jukebox 9"

but as in real life not everyone lives between the solid yellow lines.

King, I disagree.  If JRiver wants to move MJ8 customers along to MJ9, then mixing the forum commentary into one forum would help.  I understand the "clean" approach to keeping them separate, but Nikolay could easily post an update note for MJ8 and a separate update note for MJ9.

I would guess that JRiver will want to keep them separate, I just think it's bad marketing.
