Problems Burning CD's
« on: April 11, 2005, 09:10:21 am »

In need of advise and/or direction.  Perhaps you can help.  Once burn has started, and lead-in has been written, the 1st track will get to abput 40% complete and the process shuts down and this message appears:
"Error Writing CD-Text
Unknown error, Device codes 5, 48, 6"

Any suggestions ?

I never had this error....
Which MC version do you use? (you can post details from Help/System Info)

Can you disable CD-Text and try again whith a rewritable cd? (in MC11 : Tools/Option/CD-Writer : uncheck "Write CD-Text")

I had this same problem suddenly on one of my computers and never found an answer, I also posted on this and couldn't figure it out.  Works if cd-text is turned off but won't work with text on.  Worked for a while, then started having the same problem as you are.

Has CD-text burning ever worked for you or is it a new problem?  just curious.

The Adaptec Aspi driver debt mostly is was also with me like that.
If you nero have use their wnaspi32.dll copy it in system32 with xp/2000 and it fold again!
You find the DLL in C:\Program Files\Ahead\Nero\WNASPI32.DLL or on their server under http://www.nero.com/en/WNASPI32.DLL.html
