In MC you can see whether a file is correct/available or not because of the icon in front of the name: song-sign for available mp3's and a reddish sign when not correct (different filename or simply missing file).

Is there a search option to find all these missing files, so I can put it in a smartlist to check my database once in a while?

Try making a smartlist with the following expression: [=FileExists([Filename])]=0

I took this info from a post here in the forum a few weeks ago, but haven't checked it out.

Thanks, but when I copy/paste this line into my search-bar the only thing that happens is that the amount of files reduces from 11400 (all my mp3's) to 11035.
That might mean that I have some 365 missing files, but I want to have these missing files listed.

So any other suggestion would be great!

I have excluded the cue sheet based tracks and the radio stations from the search, since there are no physical files for them and they would falsely show up. The exclusion needed user defined fields for "this library entry is a cue track" and "this library entry is an Internet radio station address".

Yes, indeed, I've got version 10.

I don't think there is. Happily we have this thing called progress...

MC11 is quite stable. I uninstalled MC10 about two months ago since it was too much trouble to keep two separate libraries up-to-date. Before that I made all permanent changes in MC10 and imported the changed libraries to MC11.
