MJ looks fantastic .... now I just want to use it but I cant download ANY plugins .... particularly I need the MP3 Encoder.  Have been trying to dl from the website by clicking on the link, right clicking and saving target as, and via dl manager!!! but nothing works.

Is there a problem with the JRiver dl server? or is it something I need to do?

Hello,

When you download a plugin from the plugin page this way, you end up with a small '.mjp' file on your hardrive.
You should then dbleclik on this file and the actual plugin will be downloaded and installed in your MJ dir.

but maybe there is something else...
firewalls are sometimes the cause of many downloading problems.

What web browser are you using? Media Jukebox web site works only with the Internet Explorer. Do not use Save with Download Manager; It will not work.

Hi Nikolay,

I'm using IE running on XP ..... Everything time I try to download anything I get an MJ Reader box saying unable to connect to a server.  Am desperate to get going with this! are there other download locations or can the plug-in be emailed to me?

Hello all,

I'm new to MJ and am having the same problem as Adamski. When I try to download any encoder (like LAME-3), I get the 404 error from IE. It seems like this link might be bad:

I'm running Win XP, IE6, and MJ 7.2.

enc_mp3.mjp instead of enc_lame.mjp

well i don't think the MJ8 encoder is compatable with MJ7.2 so to get it working i think you will need to upgrade.
