video jukebox?
« on: October 15, 2002, 05:44:52 pm »

I have been using MJ for a while now, but I have a gripe.

I would like to be able to create a second library, for my video files. I do not want my video files to be visible in music mode. Currently to do this I have to select everything that isn't mp3 and delete it all from my library each time I have finished with my videos.

Also, MJ only imports about a quarter of my video collection, although they all play fine if I 'open with' MJ.

Ideally I would also like to be able to do some basic file editing with MJ, such as data tag info, audio level equalization, stripping bad audio, removing unwanted browser openers etc.

Are there any plans to add this sort of functionality to MJ, or is there a product out there that can do this?

What do other users use for managing large numbers of video clips of different formats?

Personally I have two separate library files, one for videos, one for music. Under options you can tell MJ not to add files automatically when played...I'm too lazy to see where right now but I'm sure an admin will help out poste-haste.
