Database Expression -- Count?
« on: May 03, 2005, 09:15:32 pm »

I don't suppose there was a DB Expression snuck in that would allow me to find the # of occurences of a specific TEXT STRING within a given field?

Count([Filename],"666") ?

Figured I'd update, just in case someone has a solution for me ...

I was intending to use this to determine the parsing on files ---
For example, Files with TWO instances of " - " would get parsed Artist-Album-Name
Files with ONE instance of " - " would get parsed Artist-Name
Etc, Etc

Is there a plugin that does this already?  King, Come to my rescue on this one, man!

Ive got just thousands of files that are totally jumbled names, no tags (dang co-workers -- I run an MP3 server for work :) )

I want to tag everything automatically based on filenames, but with RANDOM methods of file naming. ARGHHH!

We're trying to keep changes to a minimum for 11.0.

Remind us again as development of the next version starts, and we'll try to get this in.

Thanks.
