MC starts MS ActiveSync

Have have a PocketPC but generally do not have MS ActiveSync running.  Each time I open MC, it starts ActiveSync automatically.  Is there a way to disable this behavior?

Note:  I have never used my PocketPC to play/transfer/store music, nor have I ever used it inside of MC.
