BlogAmp and a new MJ plugin
« on: October 12, 2002, 04:53:41 pm »

I realize this probably belongs on the devel. board, but this has a bigger audience...

If you've heard of Blogamp before, you know it helps a person keep a real-time list of played songs on a website via FTP.  See the website...  http://www.geocities.com/insanitydrops/blogamp/en/

This would be a great plugin and or feature for MJ.  My current site (marcoe.net) stays current only when I export the recently played list.  Go look.  It's linked on the far right column as the last 20 songs.

It wouldn't even need to be FTP-capable...well, in my case, at least, considering i serve everything off my own hard drive.

ANOTHER option would be to add a scheduling option to the scheduler that exports a certain playlist(s) at given time intervals.

Goodness knows I'd just write the plugin myself if I could.  I don't know, can I do something like that with JAVA?  Anyway, so here I am asking.

Comments?  Smark remarks?

Sort of a cool idea.

I think an MJ plugin would be the way to go.  And VB is probably the easiest way to make something like that.

Maybe you could twist somebody's arm at the development board to throw this together...

Maybe Matt can Add A Upload FTP\HTTP Option To The MJSDK.

Then I Can See This Being Done Easly With VB.

Thia Would Also Add More Options To Programers For Users To Share Some Data With Other Users Thru Plug-Ins.
