The help says:

Media Jukebox saves two playback settings: a default setting and an alternate which is accessible by holding down the ALT key while double clicking on a file or clicking on the Player buttons. You can set both settings according to the options below:

But whatever Alt  I use with a clicking of the player buttons (or double clicking of a file)
nothing change.

I have set the normal settings als a 5 sec gap and the alternate als gapless but what ever I do, I can't change to the alternate settings. I tryed both alt keys.

It's temporary, not lasting.  So, hold ALT down while switching tracks, it'll use ALT.  Let the ALT key up and it reverts back.

We're considering making it "lasting" instead for version 9.
