Perhaps datdude is experiencing something that I too thought odd. In previous versions of MC (10, 9, etc.) I was able to put MC in windowed mode (like you show in your picture), but with MC 11 I can only display the the windowed part of the display. When I click on the button to go into windowed mode, the window detaches from the main MC UI, and the main UI minimizes to the task bar. In previous versions of MC, if I clicked on the minimized MC, it would reappear and I would be able to have both parts on screen at the same time. The only way I can have both parts on screen now is if I "close" the detached window and MC reappears with the window back in its home location.
This has been happening for the entire time I've been using MC11 (100 builds or so now), so I thought it was an unfortunate feature of the new MC. But it appears it may be more of a bug if not everyone is experiencing this.
