Bug? ATI RW not working when forum is on top
« on: May 28, 2005, 07:18:31 am »

I hadn't noticed this before, but when I'm reading or replying in the forum the RW doesn't work at all. With MC on top everythings good.

Anyone else?

Edit: MC has to be on top for the RW to work at all. I've tried it with folders, other apps in focus etc.

Media Keys on remote keyboard work fine whether  MC is in or out of focus.

I believe this was a limitation that Matt mentioned in the build threads.  This is because to have it work when not "in front" I think it would need to intercept the RW's button "calls" and then they wouldn't work in other applications (such as the ATI MMC apps).  As I actually do use those button's functionality in other programs, I'm just glad my RW2 is working, and I'm willing to accept that.

I guess I can live with that as well.

I always had this problem with the RW remote not working unless MC was on top; ever since I started using MC10 and all the build of 11.

I tried turning off all other plugins for the remote and MC still has to be on top.

This is how ATI implemented their remote.  You may be able to load a Girder remote plugin in MC to globally catch buttons.
