OT: Equalizer, FM radio question
« on: June 07, 2005, 10:29:19 am »

Hi everyone,

I have a PCI radio card from this company:  http://www.pcs-electronics.com

(It's a pretty cool, btw, way to get "wireless" tunes throughout the house)

I'm having trouble on playback of certain tracks:  the stereo signal on the radio cuts out.  The support at PCS tells me that it could be that those tunes are going over 15khz (the standard for FM, apparantly).

They recommended using the equalizer to pull down the 16khz slider...but that doesn't seem to help.  Next they recommended the winamp "rocksteady" plugin, which looks like a normalizing program of some sort.

I do use replaygain, but i'm pretty sure i tried it with that turned off, too...

Any advice about how to monitor and/or adjust these tunes?

thanks!
