Author Topic: Any way to have MC11 appear ONLY in the systray and maximized?  (Read 1327 times)

I run MC11 on my second monitor, and don't really need it to appear in the taskbar. I recall a registry hack to make Outlook appear only in the systray and not on the taskbar, so you must be able to do it with MC. Any ideas?

Under Interface
Minimize to Sys Tray

Edit.... I just re read the post..... You don't want it in the Taskbar when Maximized, or just when it's minimized?

I do not think there is a way not to show it in the task bar when it's maximized.

At temporary solution: Run MC using a Mini View skin. While in Mini View (and having minimize to system tray activated; not sure if it works when not selected) MC does not appear in the taskbar.

Edit: I know that you want it maximized, but I am talking about using a very functional/feature intensive Mini View skin.

hmmm, I guess I'll have to wait for 12 then...

Not really into the mini-skins.

Thanks.

Alternatively there is a funky tool out there called ... something like
tray it, it's free.  Do a search and you'll find it.  Theres
others out there that aren't so good.
But it'll tray Icon any app you choose.
