Now working in all tested scenarios.  Not only updating immediately, but thumbs are still visible after closing and reopening MC.  Thanks very much for this fix!!!!

Hi,

It seems that 'Enable Scrollbars' in the TrackInfo View isn't working in this build (tested in Z and Thunderstorm skins)...is it just me?

Thanks,
Kwake

When I have "Option > Tree & View > Sort by track # for single albums" enabled, MC should sort albums by "Disc #" then "Track #" for single albums.

If I use the "Disc #" field the album is flagged as an incomplete album

I've never seen the "Incomplete Shutdown" dialog until this build. Would shutting down Windows without first closing MC have had something to do with it?

7. Fixed: In some cases, the installer could hang at the very end of installation.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Funnily enough, I have never had a single problem installing in the hundreds of builds I have installed previously, yet this one with a "fix" hung on me, the installer screen hung on "UPnP server".

I always just download the new build and install it, have never used the uninstall first, always worked fine.

So, I tried the uninstall, then installed again.  Made it past that screen, but then hung after selecting the skin and threw up an error message.

So, I uninstalled once more, shut down Tivo background processes in case they were causing issues - at this point I saw there was a media center process running - I'm not sure if this was from the install, or if it caused these problems all along.... But on the next attempt it worked just fine.

So, maybe It was a freak occurance, but it seems odd that my first install failure came with a "fix install failures" build.

There's a flaw in the Album Artist (auto) logic:

2 albums, each with the same name, but with what should be different album artists are being counted as the same album.

Example:

The movie Freddy vs. Jason has two soundtrack albums.  One is a "various artist" album, the other is the score by Graeme Revell.  They are being counted as the same album in the pane view, although apparently they are being broken out as seperate albums in the more detailed views.

Which leads to one of my peeves:  The APE v2 tag "album artist" should be read on import, which would take care of situations like this.  Having to add a redundant tag (even if only in the database) to work around what should be a non-issue is more work than I want to do on the number of albums where this is a problem.  This goes along with the inability to read replaygain info added by another program.  Needing another set of tags when everything else I use perfectly uses the first set is one of the reasons I don't use MC as my primary music management app.  There are others, but this is numero uno.

On another note:  For some reason, MC won't import these two files if I use the dialogue box, but will if I drag and drop the files from the directories they reside in.  Maybe something in the log for these two files will help in figuring out what's happening:

10:20:27 AM: Import: ImportNewFiles: Adding: D:\soundtrack\Escape from New York - 1981 - John Carpenter\16 - 'I Heard You Were Dead!'.ape
10:20:27 AM: Import: ImportNewFiles:     Ignored (already in database, etc.) - This is even after clearing the database and starting over.  This file simply will not import in the regular fashion.

10:20:30 AM: Import: ImportNewFiles: Adding: D:\soundtrack\Resident Evil - 2002 - Various\01 - The Red Queen.ape
10:20:30 AM: Import: ImportNewFiles:     Ignored (already in database, etc.) - Same issue.  Won't import from the dialogue, but will import from a drag and drop.

MC is the only program I have that rejects importing these two files.  They were ripped and tagged with another program.
