I just renamed my computer.  I'm talking about the netbios network computer name.    Upon restarting the computer and launching Media Center I get the "Thanks for trying Media CEnter" .... "Would you like to convert this trial copy into software you can enjoy, ....."    "This feature is not available"   "Your 30 day trial has expired" ....

Why does changing the computer name invalidate the license ? 

How can I fix this without using yet another one of my restores?

I am not sure if this has been fixed in MC11, I don't think so.

this is a problem, and in the future i would hope this changes since more and more people hook up to more than one network.

if you run out of restores just ask and they have reset users restores in the past.
