normalising

MC11.0.299

i know you can normalise during ripping which i don't generally use, i just use replay gain.  i now have a zen micro (handheld) which works fine with MC but the volumes obviously don't work with MC's replay gain values.

i tried to find a way to normalise the volumes of my existing songs and according to the help there's supposed to be a Transforms menu with a Normalize option but i can't find it.

does anyone know how i can normalise my mp3's?

I would not normalize audio. But that is my personal preference.
You can run MP3Gain without it's tagging feature enabled.
It will make your MP3s play at the same relative volume on any device.

so normalising is not a good idea to actually apply, i'll take a closer look at mp3gain.

in the mean time do you have the Transforms menu? the help shows lots of other options off that menu yet i don't appear to have it anyware?
