Media Sever

Does anyone have any hints on using Media Sever on a LAN (Through a router).
The server seems to start OK on the main computer but when I try to connect, the client gives me an error message. Something about unable to unzip a file in my temp directory.
Any ideas anyone?

How about cleaning out your temp directory?

Are you running the same version on both sides?

Can you connect to the server from a client on the same machine?

Can you connect from the client using a web browser?
I.E.  "http://yourserver:yourport"
You should get a message like "You are not using a standard Music01 protocol to access this server"

The answers are no, no, no, no & no!

When I try to access the server with a client on the same machine, I get the same "cannot unzip tmp7.tmp" error.

All I can think is that there should be some install on demand applet in my download directory that has been deleted due to my obsessive use of Window Washer.

Does that make any sense.

Maybe I should redownload and install and not clean out my temp directory?

Flobalob,

Go to the following directory:
<MJ install path>\Data

and delete folder called Connected. Let us know if that helps.
