Cover art problem
« on: July 26, 2005, 01:04:06 pm »

I have had many versions of mc11 on my computer and the latest 309 seems to be the worst at getting cover art, what is going on? Out of about every 20 discs i add it finds about 3, i then have to go out manually to places like amazon and get the cover art, it is becoming a real pain. Is anyone else having this problem?

MC goes to other sites too. Those sites may have changed their code or the naming of the albums can be a bit different. I have never trusted the automatic lookup much.

The new option "Paste From Clipboard (Image or URL)" helps a lot. Just right-click copy the image address and paste in MC.

Though usually I scan the covers because I want higher quality. Quite often I scan the back cover, booklet and CD too. That is because I store the CDs and don't keep them near after ripping. Although the CDs are in storage boxes I want to have the cover artwork and information available together with the music.
