« on: July 20, 2005, 07:15:40 pm »

Hi i have MC11, i have configured my computer for 4 channel speakers, i have 2 speakers running through my normall speaker out put on the computer and 2 more connected to the line in plug. My problem is when i use this setup with Windows media player it sounds great. But when i use MC11 the speakers that are connected to the line in seem to lose most of there volume and seem to get a sort of hollow sound to them, can any one help...PLEASE....i hate WMP

It shouldn't work at all. Line In is for inputs not outputs. As far as I know, you need either a card with 4 or more outputs or a 2 stereo (2-ch) cards to make it work properly.

Yes they do work on my comp, the motherboard can be configured to use the line in/out this way, it supports 6 channel audio, as i mentioned it works fine on WMP.

That makes it 0 for 2 this week, for me.

I am surprised no one has jumped in on this topic so far.

I'm  using a Creative extigy and a simple 2 ch output to exsisting 5.1 ss receiver for either a discrete 2 ch or matrixed 5.1 out from my stereo sources. This winter I'm going to tear down the audio system and and rebuild and upgrade things.
