Why MJ doesn't show all existing (mp3) tag ?
« on: October 07, 2002, 01:34:31 am »

With another tag editor I can see, for example, 'content' tags (filled by emusic.com with the genre/style or 'encoded by' tags.

Why MJ8 doesn't display them ?

(Will MJ9 display them ?)

Right click on any of the column headings in Media Library.  Popup will show available column headings. You can also change it in Options>Tree & View Settings.

It looks like the 'content' tag is a custom tag. I believe MJ can create these too, but there's no guarantee another program would be able to read the tags (and vice versa). MJ's column lists are based on standard tags (applicable to any tagable format) and custom (only creatable-readable in MJ, for reasons mentioned above).

Solution? Retag using the standard tag names (like genre). 'Encoded by' is not a standard tag. What are you importing? MP3's?
