MP3 Encoder Installation
« on: August 02, 2005, 09:55:39 pm »

I just got a new system  ;D ;D ;D

Of course MC11 is the first app I installed, but I'm having trouble ripping with MP3?   :-\  When I choose MP3 to encode, MC11 tells me that I need to download the encoder.  When i click yes, I get the message:

Failded to connect to a server
Reason: Unknown
URL: http://www.musicex.com/mediacenter/mc_data/plugins/lamemp3encoder.mjp

Can anyone help??

Have you tried the "Skins & Plugins" link at the top of the forum. Download and install from there.

I figured it out....  I started using SpyBot, and when installing MC11, I didn't allow any registry changes to allow MC11 to send information to the musicex website.  This disabled the install of Lame.  I have since allowed it to communicate.

Anyway, I have tried just about every Media Player out there, and MC11 is BY FAR the best and most versatile.  It is the absolute best for managing music, and is at least as good as other with photos, video, etc.  Its my preference to do everything in one program, so I chose to allow MC11 to communicate with the server and send whatever it needs.
