Record S/PDIF Digital Input
« on: October 04, 2002, 10:44:42 am »

We have a LAN and are transferring music from a M-Audio  Audiophile 2496 sound card on a host computer to a similar card on a client computer. The audio transfers without problems, but Media Jukebox has diffculty recording the audio stream. Audio as detected by the record sound option shows a very low level (-30-40 db).

Play with the M-Audio mixer on each end.  Maybe you can boost the levels somehow...

Matt,

Thank you very much for the reply.
All audio settings are set to maximum. It is a puzzle because the M Audio Delta Control panel on each computer displays proper audio, and Media Jukebox works fine for all of its other functions. The Record Sound Option lists as the recortding source either Mixer or Line In The Recording Device is listed as: M Audio Delta AP 1/2, M Audio Delta AP Multichannel, M Audio Delta AP S/PDIF and M Audio Delta AP Mon Mixer. Some of the choices show no audio as is expected, but the one that has audio is always very low level regardless of the volume settings.
