Steve, as for the replay gain using the sound check field. Is this included in your statement above? Will this be showing up soon?

I only nag because i have to wipe and re-synch my iPod because of the long filename issues of late. I really don't want to do that and then see the next day that the sound check field thing is changed, and I'll have to do it again.

If it's still a ways off, I'll wipe and reload, and wait, but if it's soon, I can live without the filename fix, even though it makes it pretty hard to rate songs.

Thanks again for all your hard work. It sure seems the iPod support is almost perfected again, good work.

Friday, I successfully tested the replay gain / sound check compatibililty. This will be integrated into MC. Not sure of the timeline right now.

What about leveling up many media file volume to a certain level on other players like the ones from MSI ??
i mean not make all tracks the same volume but i mean if there is tracks vary in volume and i want to add a specific volume increase amount to all of them ??

This is dependent on how these devices handle (or don't handle) volume leveling. iPod has built in functionality to handle volume adjustment that is accessible to us. If other devices handle volume leveling in a way that we can access we can expose that functionality to customers. There is not a generic way to handle this for WMDM devices. The WMDM interface is the Microsoft standard way to access portable devices.

I don't have one here, so I cannot say. Does the device have a feature to apply volume adjustment? If not, there is proabably not a way to control this.

iPod (for example) has a feature called 'Sound Check' that applys any volume leveling within the file. If your device has a similar feature, this could work If not, it won't.
