Hello, I have the Roku http://www.rokulabs.com and the Homepod http://www.macsense.com and I use them both with the MC11 UPnP server.

I am struggling with how to create a good UI for both devices.  With the Homepod, I have the source code, and can modify it to create a better UI.  With the Roku, I do not have the same luxury.  However, I am first experimenting on the server side with MC11 using View Schemes and Smartlists, to try to force a better UI on both devices. 

Here is what I want to achieve.  If anyone has a suggestion on how to do so with View Scheme/Smartlist, please do let me know -- I have been unsuccessful in my trials so far.

1. Boot Homepod/Roku
2. Click to Browse Audio
3. Displays:
     [Play All]
     

[1]
     ...
     

[A]
     
     [C]
     ...
     [Z]

Note: this is a display of Artist name by first letter.

4. Click "B"
5. Displays..(e.g.)
    [Play All]
    Baaba Maal
    Babatunde Olatunji
    Bantam Rooster
    Basic Channel
    Beachwood Sparks
    etc...

Note: these are the artist names

6. Select "Beachwood Sparks"
7. Displays..(e.g.)
    [Play All]
    By Your Side EP
    Live
    Make The Cowboy Robots Cry
    etc...

Note: these are the album names

8. Select "Make The Cowboy Robots Cry"
9. Displays..(e.g.)
   [Play All]
   Drinkswater
   Hibernation
   Ponce De Leon Blues
   etc...

Note: these are the song titles

10. Select single track to play or [Play All]

Here is my problem.  At step 5 above, when I select an artist, it then jumps directly to step 9.  It does not display the albums, and allow me to select the album I might be interested in.

Any thoughts?

While waiting (hoping) for a reply to my post http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=29435.0 I tried a view scheme to achieve the same as you were looking for; and came across the same problem. However, if you look at the preset view scheme for artist/artist, it gives a clue.

Modify its list of items (Artist grouped, Artist) to show Artist grouped, Artist, Album and that should give you what you want.
