select a smart list rule

you can then modify any smart list

you must select the ones you wish to delete manualy

you can enter in fields like"name, artist, album" even "Duration" to maybe cut down the list

Since there is no option to check or uncheck files like you can in iTunes, I give duplicate files that I don't want played one star.  Normally I would delete them, but if they are a track from an album, and I have a better-sounding version from a compilation, I will use the compilation track for my playlists.  Since I don't want to break up album continuity, I came up with the one star method.  I modified the duplicate playlist to not show one star rated tracks.  :)
