how to import from command line?
« on: September 30, 2005, 08:10:13 am »

I tried

"Media Center.exe" \Import [FolderName]

it doesn't work. Maybe it can only import a single file. (why?).

I suspect that a command of the format
"Media Center.exe" /MCC [Command],[Param]
could do the trick, but Iwasn't able to execute any /MCC commands. (Is it broken).

Since there is already an external interface to import (contex menu on folders), I assume that they would be a way to import from command line and it could be scheduled for overnight updates. I believe that this is an important functionality because with podcasting, the libraries literally change overnight.

I also looked at the auto import plug-in. It looks like it would not respond to the newly added subfolders and it could require that MC is running; I am not sure though.

All of this is tried on MC 11.0.

Remember a post on this in the MC9 forums, the reply was this feature would be availible in MC11.

So, is it possible or not to update a library throu command line?
