11.316 Unable to tag... file may be in use

Is this a bug or something I can change somewhere? 

I'll have a track playing and change it's rating (or some other tag change) and within less than a minute I get a notice saying that the file can't be updated, that the file may be read-only or in use.  I seem to remember this used to be set for many many minutes before MC would give up trying to set the tag.

Anyone else?  Can't the timeout be increased?
