MC 11.1 - delete empty folders when deleting files on handheld?
« on: November 10, 2005, 05:36:45 pm »

I've only really been using the handheld stuff in 11.1, so don't know how this compares to 11, but...

If I have the handheld set to, say, organise by album in terms of directory structure, if I delete all the files from that folder, the folder gets left behind.

Any chance of getting it to detect the fact that it's created an empty directory and remove the directory too?

The handheld I'm using (and I suspect others are similar) allows you to browse by directory, so obviously it makes it look like there are albums on there that aren't actually there, so deleting the folder would be very helpful :-)

MC should already do this automatically.

What handheld are you using?

at the moment, I've only tried it with a memory card, so it's based on a filesystem path...
