wave volume getting reset when MC is loaded
« on: November 26, 2005, 11:29:44 pm »

Whenever I load MC, the wave volume of my sound device gets set to the max, which is way too high for the headphone output of my laptop (I usually run it at 10%).  Is there any way to turn this off?

Look here:
Options > Startup > Optimize Volume

This is done because the wave line is usually a software volume and the master line is hardware.  That means the best quality (S/N ratio) comes from maxing the wave line and reducing the master volume.
