Incomplete albums on Ipod
« on: November 23, 2005, 12:12:45 pm »

I am new in ipodding so i hope that request sounds logical:

Usually, people wish to upload playlists on ipod with many songs of many albums. When navigating in ipod the album tree is not useful anymore as there might be hundreds of albums named in it even if I only uploaded one song of an album.

MC offers a flag named complete album. Couldn't it be possible to have an option not to transfer the album tag to ipod for incomplete albums?

So I would see only albums on ipod that are really complete albums.

This isn't currently possible.

Using Genre or playlists are other ways to organize lots of files on an iPod you may want to think about.

Best.

Here's a workaround that allows you to use the composer's view to show only artists/albums where you have transferred the full album.  You could use a variation of this to get what you want or maybe this in itself will give you what you want.

Thanks for your answers! I am going to play around with the composer field (and custom field).

Anyway, I think it would be a good feature if MC could handle that automatically. MC would fling off itunes by far (correct english?)
