Tagging problem with ripping
« on: November 27, 2005, 09:14:57 pm »

- When ripping a CD, after completion the ripping action pane changes to ripping complete with "close" button. If I press the close button MC will consistently, but not always, act like I had just made changes to all of the files shown in the "Recently Ripped" based on the information put in for the CD just ripped, and will then ask if I want to change information for "#" files.

- If I click the "No" button to the previously mentioned bug, MC paints the Artist and Album name for the previously ripped CD over top of all the Artist and Album names currently listed on the screen. A  "mouse over" the list will paint the proper Artist and Album information.

- Occasionally, when insterting a CD, MC will find no entries in YADB, even though they exist, and pop up a window asking to submit CD information. If I click cancel, MC crashes and dumps out to desktop. This may be happening because I have the option to ask for CD submission to database disabled.

- When choosing to hide "Library Server", "TiVo Server", and "UPnP Server" the plugin manager ignores choice and shows them anyway.

Tagging problem with ripping

To update my post from earlier.

After ripping a few CD's, I finally ran across an instance where MC actually did change all of the tag information (excluding track names) for the files in the recently ripped playlist based on the information input for the last ripped CD.

The only variables I can see that might be an issue is ejecting and inserting a new CD before hitting the "Close" button on the "Ripping Complete" Action Window.

^ I have had this Artist name changing problem happen several times over the past month, but I hadn't noticed any pattern other than it occurrs sometimes after ripping/encocing a CD. I'm going to be doing alot of ripping this weekend, so I'll try to pay more attention to circumstatnces when/if it happens again.

Please install the latest build which will have some more debug logging in it.
If the rip renaming bug occurs again, could you send me the debug log?

(Help/Configure debug logging, with "output to a log file" and "General" checked)

Thanks,

I split this off of one of the build release threads.
