Ripping CD's
« on: December 11, 2005, 07:23:42 am »

I am re-ripping my music collection in another format than what I originally did and I am putting it in a different folder on my computer. I was wondering if there is a way I can use MC11 to rip them without having MC put them into the library until I am finished and I then manually start the search for new items.

Thanks

I don't think it can, but you know that as long as it's an internally supported
format MC can convert from one format to another an place it in a different
directory, with the option of not adding it to the library.

Alternatively you could use the library manager (File, Library, Library Manager)
to create a seperate temporary library, do the ripping in this one
and then delete it afterwards... leaving the files where you want them
and your library intact.

Or you could rip them, then go to the recently ripped playlist, and then delete them
from the library... (Probably the quickest way but not the safest!)
