duplicate music files / ipod compatibility
« on: December 03, 2005, 04:38:20 pm »

King Sparta, As you suggested, I moved from Media Jukebox to Media Center and love it.  Folder and file organization is great.  2 questions: 1-how can i easily detect and remove duplicate files, and 2-Media Center recognizes my ipod (video), but blows up and closes when I try to access it.  suggestions?
thx,Rob

What version of MC are you using?

If your not using 11.1, then your video Ipod may not work that well, 11.1 has made a lot of improvements for the Ipods

1-how can i easily detect and remove duplicate files

Click On "Media Library"

Right Click On the Search Box

Select Modifier

Select Duplicates

You Can Enter Many things If you Wish

[Artist],[Album],[Name],[Duration]

Etc...

in what ever order you wish.

Sort Rules May Help Or Manually Sort The Files On What Ever Field you Like

Where is this option in the actual Media Center 11.1.78?
