I was pleased when I read that, but I seem to have misunderstood...

When I read it, I took it to mean that when a viewscheme is clicked upon, it will always load up in "panes" view.
Seems I got that wrong.
The place in the viewscheme\browser is being remembered, even across sessions.
It's bizarre, there are so many things I wish MC would remember across sessions, and here I am wishing viewschemes would always load up in panes view, even within the same session.
At the moment, a scheme loads up and it takes a few seconds for me to realise just exactly what it is that is being presented, then I click on the files button to get back at the panes view. At first I thought it was neat that MC remembered, but I find it getting very old very quickly.

what do you think?

I think maybe it should be an option under "Edit View Scheme"
Display First:->
      As Left (Last Session)
      Files     
      Albums
      Artists etc

?
