I was able to download and install 3.0.17, but it does not work.  Looks like a build issue.  When I try to bring up the plug-in, I get the following error message:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98 refers to a location that is unavailable.  It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network.  Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, o that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again.  If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.

I downloaded Version 3.0.18 and had the same problem.  When I start the plug-in, I get the following message:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98 refers to a location that is unavailable.  It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network.  Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, o that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again.  If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.

If I ignore the error message, it looks like I can run the plug-in.

I was using Version 3.0.16 prior to the upgrade and it worked fine (other than the speed).

Interesting.

I will need to look into that tomorrow.

I did not really change anything, but add a basic image object.

Every thing Seems Fine, I checked it out with another computer it works fine.

maybe you should make sure you un-install the program thru add remove programs.

and then re-install

(maybe a reboot may help too)

I uninstalled it, rebooted, reinstalled, ....

Same problem.

As I mentioned, after the error message the plug-in would run.  It was processing at a rate of 164 tracks/hour.  So the bottleneck is somewhere else.  It could also be because of the problem with the error message.

FYI... other than processing the plug-in, there was no activity or changes to my PC between v3.0.16 & 3.0.18.

I've uninstalled it again.  I'll wait awhile before tring again.

I have no idea why you would have that problem.

I did however find another computer with that problem, i will work on it.

the only other thing I have seen on my computer is the log states it is working, but in real life it is not even connecting, and the plug-in is really slow. it only starts to work correctly if you exit from the plug-in and go back in.

I am thinking the FTP control still thinks it is connected.

Was Caused By A Invalid Component File Name And It Is Not Used In This Project So I Have No Idea How It Got There.

This however Should Not Have Effected The Plug-In.

Use The Plug-In, Then Leave Me Your IP Address In e-Mail At SpartaSoft @ nc.rr.com And, Along With A Cut And Paste Of The Event Log.

There May Be A Connection Problem, Make Sure Your Firewall Is Not Blocking It.

It should only take maybe 2 seconds per file

I downloaded the latest version (v3.0.20).  I still get the error message:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio\VB98 refers to a location that is unavailable.  It could be on a hard drive on this computer, or on a network.  Check to make sure that the disk is properly inserted, o that you are connected to the Internet or your network, and then try again.  If it still cannot be located, the information might have been moved to a different location.

I ran the plug-in and checked the log.  It looked like it was not connecting.  I disabled my firewall to make sure that was not the problem.  It still looks like there is no connection.  Following is the beginning of the log file.

1/1/2006 - 11:31:15 AM - Getting Data...

Just to let you know I am also getting the VB98 error message with build 20.  Build 16 was fine, then I tried 19 and I started to get the error.

Well I found the problem with that error

All it was was one of the browser controls was pointing to a drive location (don't ask me why i have no idea).

if it does not connect to the server now i have no idea.

Here Is A Good Connect With 3.0.21

5:26:37 PM - xx.xxx.xxx.xx - Cover Art Finder 3021 > finished uploading 'ConnectTest.txt' in 'D:\FTP\Cover Art 2\' -  (00:00:01 - 0.009 KB - 0.009 KBytes/s).
5:26:37 PM - xx.xxx.xxx.xx - Cover Art Finder 3021 > finished downloading 'D:\FTP\Cover Art 2\ConnectTest.txt' -  (00:00:01 - 0.009 KB - 0.009 KBytes/s)

All Files Have Been Copied To The New Format On The FTP Server.

Older Versions Will Stop Working

Error message is gone with build 21.

I can now establish a connection.

I'll now check the performance.

Hey King,

I set up a batch to run while I was out over new years - 30th through today - I see that there has been many changes - any idea where my last batch stopped - I only had the last 7500 songs to look up and then  I am done.  Please let me know.

I will d/l the latest version sometime tomorrow am......
