MC crashes when I use ATI TV tuner
« on: December 28, 2005, 01:57:49 am »

So I've been using MC10, and I decided today to get a TV tuner card for my computer.  I got the new ATI TV wonder elite.  When I tried to install everything off the CD, it didn't seem to work.

So, I downloaded the drivers from ATIs website.  All was ok.  I can use ATIs software for the TV tuner, though reception is poor, and I'm only a couple miles from San Diego(downtown).

But in MC10, it would just crash when I tried to use it.  So I figured I'd upgrade to MC11, and see if that helped.  It didn't.  Everytime I try to use the tuner, MC just crashes, and closes.

What is going on here?

Can you produce a log file? Help->Configure Debug Logging... Under "Types of events to log", make sure TV is selected.

I don't see TV as an option there, but I turned on everything that was there.

Well, it doesn't matter now.  I'm taking this stupid thing back to the store.  The reception is HORRIBLE in ATIs software(not to mention slow as crap), and the Remote Wonder plus doesn't work at all.

I forgot to mention, TV logging was merged with the rest of logging in MC11.1. If you were using MC11.0 or MC10, you would not have it.
