Is it possible to add a calculated field which contains the initial letter of the artist name?
I want to use it in my directory structure to keep it easier to navigate.

Since they allow expressions in Calucalted fields with 11.1, you could use the mid expression to give just the first character.

Not on 11.1 yet myself tho.

Did you know that under 'Edit View Scheme', you can add the 'Artist' Field twice, and choose to group the field by a size of 1, which automatically gives you the first letter or digit of the artists name in a pane?
