I don't understand why MC tries to copy over a file already on the device, then displays "Error" when it can't. Duh. This seems a waste of processing time and screen space, confuses the reader, and doesn't achieve anything useful.
Files shouldn't be displayed as "In Queue" if they are already "On Device". MC should be smart enough to figure out that it doesn't need to copy over duplicates.
It would make more sense if
- Files are "In Sync List" rather than "In Queue"
- Sync List is separated into a lower window pane from the files already on device, and
- Sync List is displayed only when requested from the Action Window, or when a sync is "in progress."
Only if a sync has been initiated and is in progress, and only if it's deemed worthwhile to actually attempt to copy them (depending on what's already on the device and the folder structure), then should files be "In Queue."
