iPod Video 30 : MC11 "Loses" Existing Playlists
« on: January 28, 2006, 06:20:02 am »

I downloaded a playlist to the iPod Video 30GB for the first time using MC11.  The playlist shows up under "Albums" (not playlists), but worst of all, the existing playlist structure is lost, and all the songs previously downloaded to the iPod (except those via the MC11) have now become a single huge "playlist," with all the prior songs listed on the one "playlist."

The artist selection also transformed to a single selection called "All."  I can no longer play the albums or artists individually.

My objective was to just add to the existing playlists, where the old playlists remain intact, with the new playlists just added to the existing ones.  But instead, the file organization is totally mangled.  I may have to reload all the albums/playlists.

Any suggestions?  To my ears, the music downloaded via the MC11 sounds better than the same files via iTunes.  If I could get the selections back to normal using MC11, that would be appreciated.

Try MC 11.1 from the Media Center board.  iPod support is much improved.
