Linux and wine support
« on: January 12, 2006, 03:47:27 pm »

since j river doesn't want to do a linux port, how about a good working solution on wine or crossover? i installed MC 11.1 on suse 10 using crossover and it works ok. it would be great to get MC11 on the supported app list.

any comments?

it would certainly be nice to make it more widely known that you can get it working under Linux.

Is crossover a standard part of suse then?
Does it come with other distributions?

Is it easy enough to get working?

MC (as others have said before) is really the one thing that stops me using Linux...

wine is a windows software emulation application for linux. i've been using it over the last couple weeks with various windows apps and it's a hit or miss. try it for yourself. tell me what you think.
