Is it possible to convert an MP3 file's tag when transferring to to a mobile device. My MP3 player does not support ID3v2 tags and will just not play the file if an ID3v2 tag is present.

All tagging information in my library, however, is stored in the ID3v2 tags and I don't want to change that.

Just like re-encoding a file when it is transferred to a portable device, I want to copy the basic information (artist, title, album, track#) from ID3v2 to ID3v1 and remove the ID3v2 tags.

Something like that is already available for the MP3 Input plugin (you can choose if you want to remove ID3v1/ID3v2 tags),  but I didn't manage to set this up for the portable device transfer.

Is that somehow possible?
