Can't get MJ to detect my cd burner

I am not able to burn cds because MJ says that it can't detect a cd burner. After I go to the options and click on the cd burner icon and then the detect button, nothing happens. What's up. I have recently downloaded version 8.0139 or what ever it's number is. SDPUP

maybe you can go to MJ8 help, then click on system info and paste that info into your next message.

you may need to tell them a bit about your system like what the burner\CD model is not all are the same.

MC9 will handle newer drives that MJ8 can't
