import not always working?
« on: December 08, 2005, 03:47:09 pm »

I noticed the import feature not always importing ALL files in a folder (only 2 out of 7 media files of the same type are found, for example).  I can open any of them individually and play them in MC, mpeg video in this case, so I know they are recognized as valid files.  Once I play an individual file, I can import again and that file ONLY will be added.  I checked the log file, and it shows all files were found and imported, but they do not show up anywhere in my tree until I open them one at a time.

I'm currently having a similar problem with 11.1.127.

I use Kings Autoimport on a directory that stores my recorded dvr-ms video files.

For some reason most files when imported are tagged a Media Type = Video, but some get tagged as Media Type = Audio, and hence don't show up in my view scheme under Video.

Any reason why dvr-ms files would be seen as Audio not Video on an import?

I tried a manual import and I get the same problem.

If I play the file in MC, it then sees it as Video and imports it into the Video Media Type.

Thanks
Richard

I think matt said they need to guess what it is Audio\Video sometimes.
