iPod Album Art issue (for files with no art)
« on: February 07, 2006, 11:59:45 pm »

I am running 11.1.111 and love that we now have the ability to sync album art (dumping iTunes now).  One issue though.  If the file has no album art, the MC logo is appearing as the artwork.  This takes up valuable screen real estate.  With iTunes, if there is art it is sent across, but if there is none then the song info takes up the whole screen.  Any way (or plans to add an option for) to not pass the MC logo as the artwork if none is available?

This is by design.

Possibly it could be configurable in a future version.

I concur.  I also wish to not have the MC logo for artless files.  The iPod has to load the image in, first of all, then it takes an extra button push to change a rating as well.  Having no art can save you seconds and add minutes to battery life.  And I have on several occassions come dangerously close to draining the battery completely.
