Library Browser view won't update.

Has anybody else seen this?  I will be in Library Browser mode and update a tag - say change "The Who" to "Who, the" - but, the entry for "The Who" remains even though the tag does not exist anymore.  This means that when I go to library mode I have to look in 2 places to see all my Who files.  Some are under "T" and the rest are under "W".  Does anybody know what can be done to get the Library Browser view to refresh? Any help will be appreciated.

This seems to happen mostly, if not only with .wma files.  It is really annoying.  Any suggestions, folks?  I'm using v11.1.119.

Try pressing F5 to force an update.

In some places, update don't happen automatically for performance reasons.

No, that's not the problem here.  I have tried to refresh.  I have changed the file names, updated the files from library and the library from files, etc.  I have even gone so far as to delete the files and reimport them.  The tags are correct but, they still appear in the browser view under their original names (i.e. The Who as opposed to Who, the as I am trying to rename them).  It appears to be something about the way MC handles .wma tags.

I'm not sure I understand.

Maybe the file has an "Artist" and an "Album Artist" and only one has been changed.

Try showing both columns in the file list and see what's there.  If they're mismatched, I'd just clear the "Album Artist."

Well, that was it.  Thanks.  I'd have never thought of that.  I don't use that column.
