My wife went to burn a CD yesterday.  When she looked at the tracks for an album, some were missing.

I checked the folder and they were there.  Apparently, there was some problem with the MP3 files and they were not imported.  I opened them up in a tool, re-sampled them and then they were imported just fine.


With ~35,000 songs in my collection, what were the odds that these were the only 3?

Can MC show me a list of files with an MP3 extension that can't be imported?

How do I find this out, is there another tool?

I would love to have something that could help me find broken files instead of going directory by directory looking for gaps.

Any idea?

Mp3Utility can help with bad mp3s, look in it's options for directory recursion.

MP3 Utility was just the ticket.  I found over 100 files that were bad.  DBpower Amp can fix them, but it's a 1 by 1 process.
