Sort messages by last post???!!!

The forum messages are sorted in some whacky order. Is there some setting I can change? I didn't see anything in the profile editor.

They are sorted by last post.

What you are seeing are stickied topics. These topics stay at the top of the forum. They are shown by this icon:

No, I'm very familiar with the concept of sticky posts. I run YaBB myself. What I WAS seeing was messages posted in no particular order. But it seems to have been fixed, as of this morning.
