Audible Device Activation Failure
« on: March 30, 2006, 04:47:16 pm »

Hi,
I have been using MC11 to dl my audible files for some time with no problems up until about 2 weels ago. Now after downloading each file it asks me for my name and password then fails to play "citing device activation failure". I checked my password and name with audible and they are correct and files that are on my ipod from three weeks ago play fine but any files since then cannot be played. Has anything with audible changed since then? Thanks

Mind telling me exactly how you are an idiot, I appear to be one too.  I double checked my username and password and have the same issue you described.

I believe Audible limits the number of portables you can use.  Please check their support or try a google search.

Thanks, I emailed support.  I read in another thread here about that issue.  I've  had Audible for over 5 years, so I think I may have activated a bunch of devices over time.  Online I only have my Sonos and iPod Nano listed, but I am sure 2 or more PCs and other portables are listed in their backend systems.  Thanks for the reply.
