Confusing highlighting of active view
« on: April 08, 2006, 05:44:07 am »

I just upgraded from 11.152 to 11.169 and saw the highlighting of active view. I really appreaciate the concept, but the implementation a bit confusing. In Thunderstorm, the active view is discretely dark while the passive view has a light grey colour that draws the attention. This means that the intuitive interpretation of what I see it opposite of how it really is. See http://web.telia.com/~u86018697/image002.jpg . Which is the active view? The lower one.

In Aruba, the active view is dark, the passive is ligth. It's somewhat better, but has basicly the same problem: The passive view has a head that differs clearly from the rest, which draws attention.

How about working with text effects? Giving in the passive view a weaker contrast,  not only in the header but the whole view?

Maybe the best solution would be just to give the head of the active view the same colour as selected artist/album/track etc.
