Tagging error while track is paused

MC tries to update the tags inside a file while the track is paused. But the currently playing file is locked during playback. So I get an error whenever I pause a track for which a tag has been changed, and I keep it in pause for a long time. Even "Send to" an external program does not work on paused tracks. The external program does not find the file when it is locked.
